Bihr and Paaschburg & Wunderlich join forces to accelerate their growth in Europe.
Bihr and the shareholders of Paaschburg & Wunderlich today announce that Bihr has acquired 100% of Paaschburg & Wunderlich GmbH (hereafter P&W).

The objectives of the transaction are threefold. First, the distribution network of P&W will be leveraged to offer a wider access to Bihr’s portfolio of brands, particularly in Germany. Conversely, the deployment of P&W’s motorcycle Parts & Accessories will be accelerated by capitalizing on the distribution network of Bihr. In addition, the recently incorporated US subsidiary of P&W will serve to support the expansion of the Bihr house brands - primarily RST- in North America.

“Leveraging the Bihr network to grow our business is a once in a lifetime opportunity” said Dr. Oliver Moosmayer, former majority shareholder and Managing Director of Paaschburg & Wunderlich. “With a network of more than 15.000 active dealers, the enlarged group is second to none in Europe”, he added.

From an organization perspective, Dr. Oliver Moosmayer has been appointed Chief Product Officer of Bihr and will focus on developing all the Parts & Accessories house brands of the group. Dr. Moosmayer will also be part of the Executive Committee of the enlarged group.

“It is a real pleasure to welcoming P&W and its management team into the Bihr Group. The expertise of the Glinde-based company will be a very valuable addition for Bihr and for its clients.” added Christophe Piron, CEO of Bihr. “Moreover, the distribution networks are very complementary and the strong presence of P&W in Germany will not only allow us to expand the Parts and Accessories offering but will also accelerate the deployment of our Rider Gear brands in the country.”

Like the other Executive Committee members of Bihr, Dr. Moosmayer will report to Christophe Piron and will become shareholder of the enlarged group.
